Summary

CVE-1999-1015 is a buffer overflow vulnerability affecting Apple's AppleShare Mail Server 5.0.3 on MacOS 8.1 and earlier. A maliciously crafted HELO command sent to the server can cause it to overflow the buffer, resulting in a denial of service (DoS) condition. This issue allows remote attackers to crash the AppleShare Mail Server, potentially disrupting email services for affected users.
