Summary

CVE-1999-0976 is a vulnerability affecting Sendmail, an email transfer agent. Malicious local users can exploit this issue by reinitializing the aliases database using the newaliases command and subsequently triggering a denial of service (DoS) condition by interrupting the Sendmail service during this process.
