Summary

CVE-1999-0969 is a denial-of-service vulnerability affecting the Windows NT RPC service. Malformed RPC packets, spoofed to appear from a victim's IP address, can be used by remote attackers to trigger an error message in the service. This error message, in turn, can result in a loop, causing a denial-of-service condition on the victim's system. The vulnerability, known as Snork, can be exploited to disrupt network services and potentially lead to further attacks.
