Summary
CVE-1999-0950 is a buffer overflow vulnerability in the WFTPD FTP server. Attackers can exploit this issue by sending a series of MKD (Make Directory) and CWD (Change Working Directory) commands to create nested directories, leading to a buffer overflow condition. Successful exploitation allows the attacker to gain root access to the affected system. This vulnerability poses a significant risk, particularly for organizations that use the WFTPD FTP server and have not applied the available patch.
