Summary

CVE-1999-0918 is a denial-of-service vulnerability affecting various Windows systems. Maliciously crafted, fragmented Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP) packets can trigger the vulnerability, causing the target system to become unresponsive and unavailable to users. This issue poses a significant threat to network availability and can lead to disruptions in critical services. Attackers can exploit this vulnerability by sending malformed IGMP packets to a Windows system, resulting in a denial-of-service condition.
