Summary
CVE-1999-0909 is a vulnerability affecting multihomed Windows systems. An attacker can exploit this issue by sending a malformed packet with IP options, bypassing IP source routing restrictions. This allows the attacker to gain unauthorized access to the system. The vulnerability, also known as the "Spoofed Route Pointer" issue, enables an attacker to manipulate the routing information of IP packets, potentially leading to serious security consequences. This vulnerability was identified in 1999 and remains a risk for systems that have not been properly patched.
