Summary
CVE-1999-0902 is a vulnerability affecting the ypserv service. This issue grants local administrators the ability to modify password tables, posing a significant security risk as unauthorized users could gain access to the system through weak or compromised passwords. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending malicious packets to the ypbind daemon, resulting in unintended password modifications.
