Summary
CVE-1999-0855 is a buffer overflow vulnerability affecting the FreeBSD gdc program. Maliciously crafted input data can cause the gdc program to write past the end of a buffer, potentially leading to arbitrary code execution or system crashes. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to gain unauthorized access or cause denial-of-service conditions on an affected system. To mitigate this risk, administrators are advised to apply relevant patches or upgrades to affected FreeBSD installations as soon as possible.
