Summary

CVE-1999-0843 is a denial-of-service vulnerability affecting Cisco routers. This issue arises when an FTP client sends a PORT command to a Telnet port, causing the router to enter a state of continuous reconfiguration. As a result, the router becomes unresponsive, leading to a denial-of-service condition. Attackers can exploit this vulnerability by deliberately sending PORT commands to the affected routers, causing them to become unavailable. This can result in network downtime and potential disruption of business operations.
