Summary
CVE-1999-0785 is a vulnerability affecting the INN inndstart program. This issue allows local users to exploit a flaw in the handling of the "pathrun" parameter in the inn.conf file, resulting in a root privilege escalation. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability can lead to unauthorized access and control over the affected system. The INN software, which is used for Usenet news servers, is the source of this security weakness.
