Summary
CVE-1999-0710 is a vulnerability affecting the Squid package in Red Hat Linux versions 5.2 and 6.0, as well as other distributions. The issue lies in the installation of the cachemgr.cgi file in a publicly accessible web directory. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by using cachemgr.cgi as a proxy to connect to other systems, posing a significant security risk. This misconfiguration allows unauthorized remote access and potential data theft or system compromise.
