Summary

CVE-1999-0549 is a vulnerability affecting Windows NT operating systems. This issue allows an attacker to gain unauthorized administrator access to a system upon rebooting, without requiring any user interaction. The vulnerability arises due to Windows NT's automatic administrator login feature, which can pose a significant security risk. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by physically accessing the system during the reboot process or through remote means, such as booting from a malicious CD or USB drive. Successful exploitation grants the attacker full control over the compromised system.
