Summary
CVE-1999-0399 is a vulnerability affecting the Mirc 5.5 IRC (Internet Relay Chat) client. The DCC (Direct Client-to-Client) server command in this application fails to adequately filter characters from file names. This weakness enables remote attackers to plant malicious files in unintended locations, potentially allowing them to execute arbitrary commands on the targeted system.
