Summary

CVE-1999-0292 is a denial-of-service vulnerability affecting older versions of Microsoft Windows. Maliciously crafted user names, when used with the Winpopup utility, can cause the system to consume excessive resources and crash, resulting in a denial-of-service condition. This issue can be exploited by sending large user names as input to the vulnerable system, causing it to become unresponsive or inaccessible.
