Summary
CVE-1999-0213 is a vulnerability affecting the libnsl library in Solaris. An attacker can exploit this weakness to cause a denial of service by targeting the rpcbind service. The vulnerability arises due to a design flaw in the way libnsl handles certain network operations, allowing an attacker to send maliciously crafted packets that result in the rpcbind service crashing or becoming unresponsive. This can cause significant disruption to network services and may require system administrators to manually restart affected services.
