Summary
CVE-1999-0014 is a cybersecurity vulnerability affecting the dtappgather program in the Computer Disciplines Engineering (CDE) network. An attacker can exploit this weakness to gain unauthorized privileged access or cause a denial of service. The dtappgather program, which is designed to manage network connections, contains a flaw that permits unauthenticated users to execute commands with elevated privileges, posing a significant security risk. This vulnerability was discovered in 1999 and has since been addressed, but older systems that have not been updated remain vulnerable.
